QCM-D tips
QCM-D
Tips
- Although temperature controlled, large variations in external
temperature may affect measurements. Place the instrument well
away from windows and air-conditioners.
- Drifts in the response may be due to unanticipated surface
reacitons. These can often be eliminated by passivating the
surface with protein, lipid, or thiols.
- Use different o-rings for different solvents to avoid changes in
the mounting stress of the crystal (affecting f and D) from
swelling/shrinking.
