History
TRCabout The TRC is designed to help you identify instrumentation which may be useful in your research and then to aid you in acquiring a basic working knowledge to start your studies. The TRC tree is a good place to start. This tool is designed to help you sort through the many possibilities given your system limitations (e.g. small amount of available sample, impure, etc.) and the information desired (e.g. mass, hydrodynamic radius, etc.). The promising techniques can then be researched in greater detail under the instrumentation summaries where you will find a description of the technology, some of which has only recently been developed, as well as images, tips on usage, and pertinent equations. These summaries are available in printer friendly monograph.  Under software you will find a short description of what the analysis programs for various instruments can do and links for downloading or purchasing. Lastly, audio or video tutorials of the instrument usage or software aspects are included so that new users can get started.  Along the way you find additional information in the form of links (manufacturers and general), references (mostly review pdf) , web references , images image, equations EQ and powerpoint presentations PPT. Please let us know if you find a particularly good reference, a new technique/tip we should add, or have a suggestion by using the feedback option. In order to fully use this resource, you will need Real Player (for some tutorials) and Acrobat Reader (for references). The TRC has been designed for use with Explorer or Mozilla on a PC.

"One of the principal objects of theoretical research in any department of knowledge
is to find the point of view from which the subject appears in its greatest simplicity."
